Corn Grits are simply coarsely ground bits of corn. They have long been a traditional staple of both northern Italy and the American South, that are usually cooked and eaten as hot porridge or cooked, then slightly cooled until firm and sliced into squares. For breakfast, try Corn Grits served with milk and honey.
For lunch or dinner, they're excellent, topped with butter, cheese, marinara or gravy. We use only the finest golden corn for rich and flavorful grits that are sure to delight your palate - any meal of the day.
Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods low in total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of some cancers.
Cooking Instruction For Cereal
Bring 3 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add 1 cup Corn Grits and reduce heat. Cook slowly for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for a couple of minutes before serving. This will make enough for four generous helpings.

Oh my! I can't believe that it took me so long to try this. My husband likes to try new and different foods all the time now. So we gave this a try and he made this on the stove and poured it into a glass baking pan. After it cooled, he cut it and either warmed it up in a pan on the stove or put it on our Pizazz Plus. It was the best type of corn bread that I've ever tasted in my life, you could actually taste the little pieces of goodness it it. It was best warm with a little honey on top!!! Yummy and beneficial since it is organic. No GMO's for us!
i make it with chicken stock, butter and parmesan cheese, and top it with any number of sauteed veggeis and an egg. it's so hearty and satisfying.

For added texture and mouthfeel, I add this to corn meal to make cornbread. Love it. Repeat customer.

Polenta is a staple food for Romanians - this corn grits are very good for polenta

Good substitute for real grits - can't find grits in New Zealand.
