Healthy Benefits: Organic Milled flax seed is an excellent source of Omega 2 Essential Fatty Acids, "good fats", which have been known to maintain healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels. In addition, flax seed is high in SDG lignans. These act as both phytoestrogens and antioxidants and may have a balancing effect on hormones. While flax seed is high in fiber it also helps to hydrate hair, skin and nails.
Serving Suggestions: Carrington Farms Organic sliced flax seed has a delicious flavor. Sprinkle it over cereals, shakes, yogurt, salad, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, casseroles and baked goods. Reseal tightly and refrigerate after opening. Best if used within 3-4 months after opening.

It does have that distinctive flax seed flour taste but I find it as good as low-carb bread that is made of many dubious ingredients and sold at quite high prices, it is organic, easy to make(simply mix with egg, cinnamon powder and baking soda and bake) and so much cheaper. You might like it better eaten as sandwiches or with any spread that would "hide" that flax flavor. The best thing is that you know what healthy ingredients you eat!
