I can't believe a pill can smell so bad. It's also too chalky so when you cut it in half you get of a lot of powder from it.The label on the bottle I got is different than the one on the photo and the listed ingredients are different.(check vitamin A). If you take vitamin A as retinyl acetate or retinyl palmitate you shouldn't take more than 3000 units. In one study, women consuming more than 6,660 IU daily of vitamin A as retinol in food or supplements (the daily recommendation for adult women is 2,310 IU) were found to have twice the hip fracture risk compared to those consuming 1,700 IU daily or less. Men with the highest blood levels of retinol are seven times more likely to fracture a hip than men with lower levels. There is evidence that older individuals have higher blood levels of vitamin A because of a reduced ability to metabolize vitamin A as efficiently as one ages. Also, vitamin B-12 should be in the form of methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin.
This is a great multivitamin to take if you want an easy, digestible "base" for every day. I chose it because it has a good distribution of vits and mins without over-doing it. It's a good complement to the certain vitamins that I want to supplement more aggressively.

I've never noticed this until the last few days, but the 2 Daily Vits I take every day aren't being absorbed and appear in my stools very much whole, although slightly softer. I recently started a high-fat, low-carb ketogenic diet so I'm wondering if taking these with high-fat food is now preventing their absorption. Perhaps I should take them on an empty stomach with water, although I thought multi-vitamin pills absorbed better with a meal. I can't declare these as "bad" as such, since they seemed to do the job before, but I might need to switch to a liquid vitamin. I'll see if these Daily Vits get absorbed properly once I switch back to more carbs in my diet.
