I have carried suitcases of this product with me when I lived overseas. It was so important in helping me stay regular cause traveling will do it to you, as well as getting used to new environments. Just half a teaspoon is usually enough and you can increase it. It also helps relax you before bed to fall asleep well. I also found out that I was magnesium deficient when after I rubbed magnesium salt on my body, it tingled and felt like a sunburn. So, I increased the dosage to 1 tsp and no more tingling. It's such a lovely product!
Magnesium is a great supplement to help calm the body and mind, but the form used in this brand (magnesium carbonate) is not well absorbed in the gut. In fact, this form is more likely to cause loose stool than any other form. This form of magnesium is not highly available in the body, therefore this product should not be used if you are truly looking to increase your magnesium levels. Better forms for mental health and supplementation include magnesium glycinate, magnesium taurate, and magnesium malate. For me personally, I do feel like this helps me fall asleep quicker if taken about thirty minutes before bed, helps calm the mind down.
I've been using Calm magnesium for a while. You definitely have to build up your usage otherwise you'll be running for the bathroom and/or have mushy poo the next day. But once you build up your tolerance to it it's a nice addition to your before bed routine. So start off with a lesser amount and then slowly build up.
As a long term fan of this brand, I can confidently say that their products are simply the best in the market. I add this powder to warm water at night, and it has a great orange taste. This is a quality source of magnesium and helps balance calcium levels. I like it for relaxing and reducing stress. I also like that it mixes well and helps me sleeper better. The 8 oz. Container design makes it easier to scoop out compared to the previous container.
After researching types of magnesium, I found this to be one of the most bioavailable. It's also the most affordable I've found too. This is the only flavor of CALM powder I can tolerate (I've tried them all). I really notice the difference when I don't take it for a few days. When taken daily, it really helps my body relax.
Such a good supplement! You can feel it working hours after drinking. It advises to take gradually but I have never had a negative reaction from taking the full teaspoon. Taste is citrus and it is fizzy for a few minutes , less if you add it to warm liquid. The powder has never gotten clumpy and I had the last bottle for a year.
This is the magnesium is a good mineral supplement. I take it with warm water at night before sleeping and it relaxes me and help relive stress. The orange taste is great too. It is not to sweet and the price is very affordable. Packaging is big enough to last a long time even if I take the recommended dose daily.
I make this drink for my husband almost every night so he can get better sleep and stay regular! He really likes this mix and the orange flavor. While I also like how it effects me, I’m not a huge fan of the orange flavor though. I prefer the cherry, but flavor is all personal preference. The benefits are great and it’s so nice having a warm beverage to end the night.
