Rewarded Review

The last of the concealers in this elf concealer review is the elf 16hr Camo Concealer. It was created as a dupe for a high-end concealers and it still gets a lot of attention. This concealer comes in 26 shades. It claims to have a 16 hour wear time, with full-coverage and a matte finish. This formula should not settle into fine lines or creases. The key ingredients are chosen to moisturize and to control shine at the same time. It features avocado oil to moisturize, and kaolin clay to control oils. I know that a lot of people love this concealer, so much so that I think my negative review is an unpopular opinion. I really wanted to love it more. This concealer is extremely full-coverage. Even when I apply a tiny dot to an area, it seems to keep going and going. I will never understand how people put so much of it on in one area! Besides that, it is seriously matte, to the point where it can look too dry. I would never recommend it to someone with dry skin, but keep in mind that I have combination skin and I am not impressed. This concealer makes me afraid to try the others that it is a dupe for. As a part of this elf under eye concealer review, I went ahead and swatched each concealer below. These swatches help to depict the finish, coverage, and differences between the fair shades. I'm surprised at how good this is! It's very similar to my beloved WetNWild Incognito concealer. It covers well, blends nicely, isn't cakey or grotesque looking and while I didn't check out the entire shade range I was able to find a decent match for my very pale and cool toned skin. While I prefer my WetNWild Incognito because it has a thinner formula and blends slightly more seamlessly this one is still really, really good and I'd buy it again. (To be clear though, I don't have much to conceal I use this lightly and sparingly under my eyes to keep my base cohesive. My skin is very well behaved and smooth. If you have discoloration, sun damage, lines that product always goes into, texture, etc your experience may vary from mine.)
