I've really enjoy Four Sigmatics coffee line and I really enjoy the mushroom balance that they create with the coffees. Even with the packets from the ground coffee, it is really a great product. you instantly feel the effects after a few sips, or at least I do.

I bought this before my trip back to visit the family in the states. They’re all big coffee drinkers and I used to be as well until I decided to make some changes to be healthier. I was getting tired of the spike and crash in my energy which was becoming a vicious cycle and I just wanted to have a steady flow of energy. I kept hearing about this brand and how there is adaptogenic coffees and teas now. I’ve read the reviews and some people say it tastes mild or a bit earthy and too weak but honestly the taste is fine. If you’re looking for that strong coffee taste the red one in whole bean form is the closest to what you’re looking for in terms of flavor and strength but for instant coffee, it’s extremely convenient and gets me the energy I need without the spike and crash. I also give it more body by adding some milk alternatives and some low gi coconut sugar and I’m good to go. It seems expensive at first but when I was going through the airport and just paid for a cup of oat milk at a Starbucks, I would just tear open a small pack and stir my own drink. Did the same thing in the plane once I landed after a 12 hour flight and needed a little pick me up before going through all the chaos at the airport. I took it everyday in place of coffee while I was with family and also got them on it as well. Helps that it reduces stress as well and I do feel like it lowers my cortisol levels which I get high spikes of from flying in general as well as stress from airports so I feel like it makes me feel more manageable and lighter. In the end I was saving and each pack would be around $2-3 (I paid in USD but for JPY price so it may be slightly cheaper for me overall but still cheaper than Starbucks and probably a lot healthier). I have another trip coming up so I bought another few boxes as I will be staying at business hotels but won’t be able to drink normal coffee. Overall I’m happy with this product and it’s quality :)
