I begin taking these in the fall. My nails get bad in the winter; ridges, dry and brittle. Gelatin has always helped my entire life, and I am 70. Takes a while to work (think nails growth from the nailbed). I told my hair stylist about them, she is much younger. She said it makes sense, it's protein. I have always had good luck with the Now brand.
