got it because i saw some claims online that magnesium helps one to sleep better at night. the size of the capsules are quite large, so they're not easy to swallow except with a big gulp of water. they seem to work well enough though - when I take it with melatonin at night, it helps me to fall asleep better. i think that one tablet is sufficient to start off with, and you can up the dosage to two once you get used to it. it doesn't taste great, but it does what it is meant to do.
